Opening Sequences Friends Music- The music chosen was fun and up beat which reflects the show. The lyrics encapsulates the narrative of the characters and how they help each other when things go wrong. The song also goes well with the title opening as it is upbeat and a happy song and the opening scenes are of the characters having fun dancing in a water fountain. Graphics- The graphics are of a scruffy font which looks hand written with colorful dots in between each letter. This could show the informal and unstructured way the characters are and the way the show is put together. Camera- The title of the show is shown before the characters, this establishes the theme of the show and what the characters mean to each other. They one by one appear on the sofa to introduce the audience who they are then as series of jump cuts are made of the characters talking, laughing and acting the way they would usually together on the sofa as the sofa is used in the show. News the political landscape of Britain. 4 centuries after 1265 Britain created political parties. After the world exclusion crisis politicians split into two parties which were the tories and the whigs which made a coalition from 2010 to 2015. Whigs The whigs were trying to reform aristocracy. They attracted upper class people, but later on in 1862 they became the most modernized party which increase the electoral base of the middle class people. They became the most element in the whigs and radical union which was called the liberals. They then they merged with the social democratic to create the liberal democrats. Torys The word Tory immediately gained supporters which had strong royal power due to their traditional ideals and also as it was the time where the monarchy was trying to restore itself. Doctor Foster and Top of the lake questions# 1) In Top of the lake the main character is detective Griffin is being represented as a women who is in control of everyone else as she is leading the operation but also someone who other people lean on, this position seems to be hurting her emotionally as she never looks happy. In Doctor Foster the lead is a married women who suspects that her husband is cheating on her when she finds a blonde hair on her husbands jacket. She is a represented as happy at first then worried once she finds the hair she becomes worried and paranoid. 2) In top of the lake the lead women doesn't fit in the previous conception of women as she is head of the operation she is not a damsel in distress but is the protagonist which saves the day. In the trailer she seems to be incorporated in everyone's story and is everyone seems to lean on her for support. She doesn't wear provocative clothes and the role she plays isn't objectifying but i...

Then the camera cuts to a shot of them entering an elevator there is fast pate instrumental non digetic music from the era to emphasize the fast paste of the business world. They use digetic sound as when they reach the floor the elevator bings. They us mise en scene as the men are all wearing suits and the one women is wearing clothes from the era. The camera is focused on there faces to show how nervous and uncomfortable the women feels the goes the mens point of view to show that they are looking at her body, this highlights how objectifying men were in that era. .Once they reach the top of the floor the camera follows the men there is digetic sounds of typing and mumbling to recreate the sounds which would normally be at an office. The male gaze Taylor Swift 1) I think her video was empowering because females got the roles that men normally have for example men normally get to be spy's which get to do stunts they got to do stunts. Also the women in this video were shown to be soldiers /protagonists in Taylor Swifts army this signifies that the women were presented as strong and fearless. 2) I think the women were in control because at the start of the video they were fighting working men with office jobs. 3) I think the videos were aimed at females because Taylor swifts fan base is mostly females, but they did have skimpy clothing (not as skimpy as either Justins or Rihanas) which they could of worn to entice males into watching it but not all the women had skimpy clothing and which could imply that the females in the video had more choice over what they wanted to wear. Justin Timberlake 1) I think that it was degrading because only the woman were naked but the men were not ...

It is implying that teenagers cannot be trusted online.
