Opening Sequences   Friends  Music- The music chosen was fun and up beat which reflects the show. The lyrics encapsulates the narrative of the characters and how they help each other when things go wrong. The song also goes well with the title opening as it is upbeat and a happy song and the opening scenes are of the characters having fun dancing in a water fountain. Graphics- The graphics are of a scruffy font which looks hand written with colorful dots in between each letter. This could show the informal and unstructured way the characters are and the way the show is put together. Camera- The title of the show is shown before the characters, this establishes the theme of the show and what the characters mean to each other. Doctor Foster and Top of the lake questions# 1) In Top of the lake the main character is detective Griffin is being represented as a women who is in control of everyone else as she is leading the operation but also someone who other people lean on, this position seems to be hurting her emotionally as she never looks happy. The male gaze Taylor Swift 1) I think her video was empowering because females got the roles that men normally have for example men normally get to be spy's which get to do stunts they got to do stunts. Also the women in this video were shown to be soldiers /protagonists  in Taylor Swifts army this signifies that the women were presented as strong and fearless. 2) I think the women were in control because at the start of the video they were fighting working men with office jobs. 3) I think the videos were aimed at females because Taylor swifts fan base is mostly females, but they did have skimpy clothing (not as skimpy as either Justins or Rihanas) which they could of worn to entice males into watching it but not all the women had skimpy clothing and which could imply that the females in the video had more choice over what they wanted to wear.
