The two genres of newspapers each these two newspapers show is tabloid and broadsheet. The newspaper on the left is a tabloid, the conventions of a tabloid newspaper is dumbing down this is where they simplify the information for it to reach a wider audience, this is shown in the title as it uses a simple rhetorical question which sounds as if it could be used colloquially. This means that this news paper is low brow because they have a lower intellectual content which means that their readers need lower intellect to appreciate the news, compared to a quality press like a broadsheet it is seen as low brow.
